Meet Aimee
Everyday we face things that are becoming more and more complex. How do we respond ethically?
Aimee Patterson is a Christian ethicist. She helps Christians draw on our faith to discern what is going on around us and respond in ethical ways. She does this in her work as Christian ethicist at The Salvation Army Ethics Centre. She is also adjunct professor at Booth University College. Aimee holds a PhD in religious ethics from McGill University with a focus on ethics at the end of life. Her professional interests in ethics are broad, including medical ethics, gender and sexual diversity, technology, social justice, and human dignity.
Aimee builds capacity and skill in ethics through teaching students of religion and seminarians, facilitating webinars and workshops for lay and ordained learners, and writing for specialized and general audiences. Most of all, Aimee wants to make scholarly wisdom accessible for everyone.
Aimee is the author of Suffering Well and Suffering With: Reclaiming Marks of Christian Identity.
